Genuine Birkenstocks are the best -- I've been a fan for almost 20 years. So comfortable and long lasting. I bought this pair to replace a similar pair that I had been wearing for over 10 years. These clogs are made of felt so I sprayed fabric protector on them before wearing for the first time. I'm also wearing them indoors only as slippers. I would recommend leather or suede uppers for outdoor wear.

I had read plenty of excellent reviews of Birkenstock products and had a lot of faith in the quality and good name.
Maybe I just wasn't prepared for what they FEEL like. My last pair of comfort clogs was Bass Delyse, and they felt like walking on a cloud. When I put on my Birkenstocks, I wasn't sure what I felt. I was expecting the same comfort, probably even better- after all, I was paying 20 dollars more. What I felt was hard, uncomfortable, and there was a ledge in the front that my toes kept on bumping into. I wasn't even sure if they fit right. Maybe they don't. My husband insists that he loves his Birkenstocks and that they become comfortable. I've worn them for about two weeks so far, and so I'll rate them that I like them. Thay are not soft, and the ledge is still there, but I've become mostly accustomed to it. I still feel like my feet are clenched in them, not relaxed.

These are so comfortable and warm. I would have rated them a 5 except that the first day I wore them I accidentally dripped a couple drops of water on one and it seems to have left a permanent discoloration where each drop landed and no apparent way to do anything about it. I wouldn't expect water to permanently stain a shoe. I will still wear these, but with the dark spots left by the water I'll be wearing them a lot less than if they weren't stained, and I wonder for how long they will remain wearable.

I ordered a pair of these about 2 months ago. I own 4 pairs of Birkenstocks that are not wool, and I absolutely love them. These particular shoes the wool started to rip when I had only worn them about 10 times. I tried to return them to Amazon, but since it was 10 days past my 30 day return they refused to give me my money back. I am currently very dissatisfied with Amazon and Birkenstocks! I also am not ordering anything from Amazon again!!

OK, who wears purple fuzzy clogs? I do and they are really, really comfortable. Most of the "Normal" colors were sold out in my size but I wanted to try Birkenstocks due to left foot pain AND... the price was incredible. So what if I feel like Barney when I put them on, my feet feel like they are walking on clouds!
They arrived on time and actually look great with jeans or yoga pants! I am going to get another pair....Hot pink perhaps? Miss piggy look out!
